For warriors and your account

Every Duskar account starts the same way: one planet, one warrior and a full bar of action points. From there the game is a loop you will repeat for a long time: go on expeditions, beat unawakened warriors, teach them an aura so they join you, and build a team of five that wins fights. This page covers your first days, from the starting kit to the moment the whole game is open.

Your planet and your first warrior

You begin by choosing one of the five planets: Zalnyr, Navis, Vevoria, Coth or Manus. There is no level gate: every location of that planet is open from the first minute, apart from the few that wait for a certain weather, and you can fly to the other planets later.

Then you pick your first warrior from eleven starter species, which cover all ten races. It joins your team at level 1 in the Green Aura and becomes your leader. If you ever have no living warrior left, the game lets you choose a new starter from the same list.

In the story you are an Awakener: you can never hold an aura yourself, but you can pass one on. That is how every other warrior joins you.

What a new account starts with

Item Amount
Yen 50,000 ¥
Star yen 300 S¥
Action points 200 of 200
Potions 10 Blue, 10 Golden, 5 Red
Capsules 170: 10 of each stat capsule, 25 AP, 15 XP, 20 max AP, 20 synergy, 20 HP
Auras 40 Invisible, 20 Pink
Elite premium 7 days
Lucky Star weather 10 days

Lucky Star is your personal newcomer weather and travels with you: 20% more meetings with unawakened warriors, 5 percentage points more capsule finds and an awakening chance 1.2 times higher. Elite premium makes awakening easier still, refills action points faster and halves the price of healing.

Spend the Invisible Auras first. They give the warrior no bonus in fights, but no aura has a better awakening chance, which is what counts while you are building your first team.

The tutorial in six chapters

The tutorial is a path of 25 steps in six chapters. The steps of the current chapter show on your board and count in any order. Every step pays a small reward, every finished chapter pays its own and opens a page of Book I of the Chronicle of the Awakeners.

Chapter What you do What it opens
0. The Awakener Your first expedition and first awakening, which always succeeds 20 Golden Auras
1. First Company Heal, awaken a second warrior, buy an airship, put three in the team, reach the first level, buy a training Daily jobs, the free daily chest, the newcomer calendar
2. Team of Five A full team of five, new capsules, AP capsules, training the leader, the battle plan, a night of work Work and the gym, 20 Golden Auras
3. The Arena Your first league fights, the first mission of the archive saga, three calendar days, account level 10 A Guide’s Ticket and a Planetary Portal
4. The Stars From account level 10: a new planet through the portal, a native warrior, a long flight, open space Flights to other planets
5. Alliances From account level 15: the market and a clan Every saga and the starter paths

Your team, reserve and storage

Every warrior you own sits in one of three places. The team holds up to five warriors of different species and fights for you; the first one is the leader. The reserve is the bench: only a reserve warrior can join the team. Storage keeps the rest.

A warrior whose level is above your account level cannot join the team until your account catches up. Your account level is the highest level any of your warriors has reached, so it grows by itself as you train. The cap is 100 for both.

Without a ship you can own 5 warriors. The level 1 airship raises that to 20, and bigger airships and starships take it up to 500. If you awaken a warrior while your roster is full, it goes straight to the planet army, which pays its value in yen.

Open any warrior to see its card: its stats with the trained part marked, its resistances against every race, its value, synergy, aura, master and attacks. Every species you meet or awaken also gets a page in your collection.

Sell the warriors you do not need to the planet army. Early on, warriors awakened with cheap auras are one of the quickest ways to earn yen.

Gifts for newcomers

  • Action points on level-up. Until account level 10, every new account level refills your action points to the maximum.
  • Free healing. The hospital costs nothing below account level 20.
  • Golden potions. Every new account level gives 2 Golden Potions, 4 from level 50 on and 20 at level 100.
  • Newcomer calendar. Seven daily gifts after tutorial chapter 1. A missed day does not reset the count; the calendar ends after seven claims or 14 days after the first one.
  • Newcomer jobs. For your first seven game days of daily jobs you get a fixed board of three jobs per weekday, the same for every newcomer. From day eight you share the daily jobs of the whole world.
  • The free daily chest. One free chest every game day, and every seventh day in a row adds a Chest Key that opens one more.

Art from the game

  • A harbour market full of warriors of many races
Chronicle page I.4, The Age of Warriors: the Awakeners appear, people who cannot hold an aura but can pass one on. You are one of them.
  • Children dancing in a circle on a meadow by the sea
Chronicle page I.0, The Golden Age, opens with the prologue. Every finished tutorial chapter adds the next page of Book I.
  • Airship, level 1
The level 1 airship costs 5,000 yen and makes room for 20 warriors instead of 5.

Questions players ask

What should I do first?

Follow the tutorial. The steps of the current chapter wait on your board and can be done in any order. Every finished chapter pays its reward and opens the next part of the game, from daily jobs to flights to other planets and clans.

How do I play Duskar?

Go on expeditions, beat unawakened warriors and teach them auras until you have a team of five. Sell the warriors you do not need for yen, train and level up your team, and later trade on the market, fly to other planets, join a clan, take planetoids and climb the league.

Why can't I start an expedition?

Expeditions are blocked while your account is at work, in the gym or on a flight. Finish or stop the activity first. A trip also needs the full action point price of the location.
