A clan is a company of players who play side by side: a shared chat, a treasury, a seat on a planetoid and three jobs every week that the whole clan works on together. Clans open at account level 15, and the last chapter of the tutorial sends you to join one or to found your own.
Joining a clan
From account level 15 you can apply to any clan that has room. The clan directory lists every clan by name and tag, and every clan has a public page that anyone can read, even without an account: its logo and banner, its public and recruitment descriptions, its leader and members, its place in the ranking and its history.
- Applying. Send an application from the clan’s page. A member whose role allows accepting applicants takes you in or turns you down.
- One clan at a time. When one clan accepts you, your other applications are withdrawn.
- Leaving. You can leave at any time. You lose the clan chat and the treasury at once, and any warriors you stationed at the seat fly home, which takes 4 hours.
Founding a clan
- What you need. Account level 15, no clan, 1,000,000 yen and one of your own planetoids that is not under siege. The yen are spent for good, and the planetoid becomes the clan’s seat.
- Name and tag. A name of 3 to 40 characters and a tag of 2 to 4 letters or digits, both unique.
- The start. You become the leader, and the treasury starts with 100,000 yen.
Roles and permissions
The leader can create up to 10 roles with names of up to 25 characters and give each role any of seven permissions:
| Permission | What it allows |
|---|---|
| Logo and banner | Change the clan’s logo and banner |
| Descriptions | Edit the public, recruitment and internal descriptions |
| Assign roles | Give members a role or take it away |
| Accept applicants | Accept or turn down applications |
| Kick members | Remove members from the clan |
| Announcements | Post announcements for the whole clan |
| Spend the treasury | Pay for clan actions from the treasury |
The leader holds every permission and also creates, edits and deletes roles, decides whether roles show on the public page, hands the leadership over and can dissolve the clan. A leader who wants to leave must hand the leadership over first.
Members read the latest 30 announcements, the clan chat and the internal description, which only they can see. The clan history records who founded the clan, who joined, left or was kicked, every change of leader and every new peak in the ranking.
The seat
The planetoid you found the clan on becomes its seat, and it stays the seat for as long as the clan exists.
- Nobody’s property. The seat belongs to the clan, not to a player, so nobody collects its income. Every Monday it pays 10% of its weekly income into the treasury instead.
- Untouchable. Nobody can take it over or besiege it, it never rebels, and the Inborn never appear on it.
- For members only. Only members can land there, and their expeditions on its grounds never get them detected. Every member can station warriors in its garrison.
- When the clan ends. If the clan is dissolved, the seat goes back to the leader as an ordinary planetoid and every warrior stationed there flies home.
The treasury
The treasury is the clan’s own yen account. It fills up from the founding grant of 100,000 yen, from member donations of any size, from the seat’s weekly 10% and from finished clan jobs. Yen in the treasury never go back to a player’s wallet, and if the clan is dissolved they are lost.
The treasury pays for Energy Surge: for 5,000,000 yen every member of the clan gets a Golden Potion, bound to their account. A member whose role allows spending the treasury can unleash it once per game week.
Donations to the treasury are a one-way gift. Agree in the clan what the surge is for before you fill it up.
Clan jobs
Every game week, which starts on Monday at 04:00 UTC, each clan gets three jobs drawn from the same kinds as the daily jobs: awaken warriors of a race or with an aura, win team fights, find capsules, go on expeditions to a location and so on. All members work on them together, and every member’s progress counts. A clan job asks for much more than a daily job of the same kind.
Each finished job pays a share of the seat’s weekly income into the treasury. The rewards come automatically after the week ends, so nobody has to claim them. The clan page shows the jobs, your own share and who contributed the most.
Territories
A sector of the star map belongs to the clan that holds the most planetoids there, counting its seat and the planetoids its members own; on a tie the older clan keeps it. The clan rule view of the star map colours every ruled sector by its clan, and the clan directory ranks clans by the sectors they rule.
The clan ranking
The clan ranking is counted once a day from the league. Each member brings their points from all three league tracks together; the clan’s score is the average over its members, weighted by its size:
| Members | Weight |
|---|---|
| 10 or more | Full score |
| 9 | 0.8 |
| 5 | 0.4 |
| 2 | 0.1 |
| 1 | 0 |
Below ten members the weight is 0.1 for every member after the first. The clan page shows the clan’s place, its points and how both changed since yesterday.
Clan mates
- Planetoids. You cannot take over or besiege a clan mate’s planetoid, and your expeditions there never get you detected.
- Teleporter. A Teleporter takes you once a game day to one of your own planetoids, a clan mate’s planetoid or your clan’s seat.
- Weather Staff. A Weather Staff calls its weather for you and every clan mate standing on the same planet.
Read more about seats, garrisons and sieges on the planetoids page, and about league points on the league page.
Art from the game

Chronicle page II.18, Hands That Let It Through: on a harbour dock of Zalnyr, Mekari warriors crackling with energy test a mixed team in a chalk ring: a human, an Ilyari and a horned warrior.
Energy Surge gives every member of the clan a Golden Potion, once a week, paid from the treasury.
A Weather Staff calls its weather for you and every clan mate on the same planet.
Questions players ask
What is a clan?
A clan is a group of up to 20 players with its own chat, treasury, ranking and seat on a planetoid. From account level 15 you can apply to any clan from its page, or found your own for 1,000,000 yen and one of your own planetoids, which becomes the clan's seat. Clan mates share weekly clan jobs, can visit each other's planetoids safely and never attack each other's planetoids.
